HP Slate 500 and Mi-Forms: Electronic Data Collection for the Enterprise

The Enterprise now has a new option for data collection: introducing Mi-Forms on the HP Slate 500. The combination of a portable, lightweight, handheld computer, and a powerful data collection software platform will change the way organizations gather information, with or without internet connectivity. Mi-Co has recently validated the HP Slate for use with Mi-Co’s industry leading Slate forms software, Mi-Forms. Mi-Forms runs smoothly on the new device, with the HP Slate 500 able to maximize all of the software’s capabilities, including touch input, stylus-pen input and more. The HP Slate 500 is Windows 7 based, meaning collected information can be easily integrated with most database and back-end systems. This model comes with a stylus, which means filling out electronic forms in Mi-Forms is just as easy asfilling out paper forms, but with even more intelligence. In Mi-Forms forms on the HP Slate 500, data can be pre-filled to avoid redundant processes. Pick-lists, check boxes, fields for GPS data, diagrams, videos and images can all be incorporated on the form. Text conversion, as well as free-form handwriting for note-taking or signature capture are standard. Data exports can be easily pre-defined such that once a form is complete, .pdf, .csv, and .xls documents will be generated automatically. The touch-setting can also be used on the Slate 500 and Mi-Forms for data-entry on web-forms or the native client application, giving partners and customers powerful flexibility
